Bees - hives

There are various hive options, national, WBC, commercial, langstroth etc. Commercial hives are big and can accommodate large colonies, but they can be heavy to work with. Essentially they're all the same. Do your research and choose what suits you best.

In the image a traditional cedar hive is on the right and a polynuc on the left. Essentially they are the same thing except as the name suggests, the polynuc is made of polystyrene. Polynuc's have half the capacity of a full commercial hive. The frame sizes are the same and are interchangeable between the hive types.
